The European Association for Digital Humanities (EADH) held its inaugural conference at the National University of Ireland, Galway from 7-9 December 2018.

The theme of the conference was ‘Data in Digital Humanities’ and brought together and represents the Digital Humanities in Europe across the entire spectrum of disciplines that research, develop, and apply digital humanities methods and technology. The EADH also supports the formation of Digital Humanities interest groups in Europe that are defined by region, language, methodological focus or other criteria.

Over 130 papers were presented on issues such as the transformation of data for cultural heritage, use of data analytics in literary studies, natural language processing, data visualisation and modelling, and much more.
