The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) held the annual workshop organised by the Association of Spanish University Publishers (UNE) about the electronic book. The event, which reached this year its 8th edition, took place in Madrid from the 7th to the 8th of June, and was entitled Academic edition: the digital environment and its challenges.
A member of our project participated in a discussion about the reader’s ecosystem in the 21st century in the digital environment. This talk meant to examine the demands that both readers and researchers are putting forward. Helena Bermúdez presented her point of view as a philologist discussing the dominant practises in digital scholarly editing and focusing her talk on the needs of the textual scholarship community.
