This year’s CLARIN Annual Conference took place in Leipzig, from September 30th to October 3rd. This is the main event for those working on the construction and operation of CLARIN across Europe, as well as for representatives of the communities of use in the humanities, and social sciences.
Members of the POSTDATA team attended the Conference: Salvador Ros, Technical Director, and Leire Leguina, Project Manager. There, they had the chance to exchange ideas and their experiences with several members of the CLARIN community, in order to create new synergies and to share data, tools and services that are included in the CLARIN Infrastructure.
Among the talks and papers presented, the guest-speakers of the Conference were Professor Scott Rettberg (University of Bergen, Norway), with his talk on Electronic Literature: Documenting and Archiving Multimodal Computational Writing, and Professor Elke Teich (University of the Saarland, Saarbrücken, Germany), who talked about her Corpus-Driven Investigation of Language Use, Variation and Change.
The Conference was organized by CLARIN ERIC in collaboration with the University of Leipzig and InfAI – Institut für Angewandte Informatik.
