HisMetag is a Java tool for historical name entity recognition system in Medieval Spanish texts. It combines lexical, syntactic, and semantic analysis with NLP technologies. It is able to identify terms according to its context and is also able to generate variants of terms that have not been found in gazetteers and dictionaries. Morphological rules are applied for their identification, according to the evolution of Spanish language from Latin to modern Spanish language.

It is fully integrated into the poetrylab app and API.
